The 4 major benefits of office-based minimally invasive treatments:

  1. In-office treatment. Because office-based minimally invasive treatments (MITs) are not surgery and do not require an incision (tissue cutting), you do not need to be treated in a hospital. Generally, you are able to go home immediately following the procedure at the doctor’s office.

  2. Lack of sexual side effects. MITs have low rates of sexual side effects as compared to drug therapy or surgery.1,2

  3. Patient tolerability. Most patients are able to resume their normal activities shortly after an MIT procedure for BPH. Traditional surgery, on the other hand, requires a couple of months for you to heal completely, according to the National Institutes of Health.

  4. Significant symptom relief. MITs will relieve your symptoms “moderately to largely,” according to the AUA.
